EATING DISORDER

Eating disorders include a range of conditions such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. They often involve distorted body image and anxiety around eating.
Common signs of eating disorders include
• Restrictive eating or extreme dieting • Episodes of binge eating followed by purging behaviors • Preoccupation with calories, fat grams, or food rituals • Excessive exercise to compensate for food intake • Distorted body image and self-worth tied to weight
In a safe, compassionate space, I can help you begin to heal by:
1. Coordinating with a dietitian for Nutritional Counseling, so you can establish balanced meal plans that nourish both body and mind. 2. Applying Eating Disorder–specific CBT (CBT-E) to gently address distorted body image and develop healthier eating patterns. 3. Teaching emotion regulation skills to navigate anxiety or guilt around food without resorting to harmful behaviors. 4. Involving your family (if you wish) through Family-Based Therapy (FBT), creating a network of understanding and support. 5. Developing a relapse prevention strategy, identifying high-risk situations and practicing adaptive coping techniques.
